Stephanie Berenson Photography is a luxury portrait experience that embraces a natural approach to photography. I will work with your family to create moments in time you will treasure forever. With over 12 years of photography experience, you'll be in expert hands to guide you through your portrait session.
I believe that photography should be relaxed and feel natural. While I will work with you to plan all of the details for your session, having your picture taken is more than just perfect outfits and children smiling angelically. If you're here for a family session, your children are only this age once, and sometimes that means that they won't stand still and smile. That's okay! We'll let them have fun, play, and be themselves, and that makes for great photographs! So, if you're looking for a photographer who you can trust to bring out the best in you and your family, you've come to the right place.
Following the session, your proofs will be presented to you in person, giving you the chance to see our top of the line product offerings in person and having your selections taken care of before you go home. With an expert to guide you in selecting your legacy products, your portraits will have life beyond a hard drive and you'll be enjoying your photos on your wall within weeks of your session.

how does it work?

The details
Legacy Portrait sessions are one hour in length and are suitable for families, children, couples, or individuals.
Sessions are held two hours before sunset and can be done outdoors or indoors in your home or at my studio.
Portrait sessions will produce about 50 proofs from which you can place your order. Proofs will be presented to you within one week after your session at your reveal celebration during which time orders can be made.
The legacy portrait commission price is 290.
This price includes the creation of your portraits only - albums and fine art prints will be available to purchase following the session at your reveal celebration.
All fine art prints and album prints will be fully edited to achieve the Stephanie Berenson Photography signature style.
Wall art design services are complimentary. By sharing photos of your wall space before the session, wall art display ideas are presented to you that will show you exactly how your photos will look in your home.

If you choose to do an outdoor session, I provide a recommended list of locations I've curated over the years. There are a variety of locations in different areas depending on where you are located. These range from gardens, parks, fields, and farms to cities and so much more! If you have young children (under 4 years old), I recommend choosing a secluded outdoor location versus one in the city/crowded areas to avoid distractions for the littles.

Located in Walpole, MA, these studio sessions are great for maternity, newborn, milestone, and studio portraits. I have curated this space to provide a clean "at-home" feel without the stress of actually cleaning and decorating your home. Come as you are, and I'll do the rest. This clean space provides plenty of variety for any session!

For those who book a newborn session & have spent months (or even years) working on the perfectly curated nursery, in-home sessions are for you! You want to document all of the hard work you put into creating the sweetest little nook for your newest addition. We'll photograph your session in the nursery and likely the master bedroom for a lifestyle/at-home vibe. In-home newborn sessions are more documentary versus "posed."

are digital files included with the session?
In order to help you make the best choices with your investment, proofs are revealed and orders are made in person in your home or my studio just one week after your session. This stress-free and enjoyable process allows you to begin enjoying your art within weeks of your session!
Can I just order my prints online?
Yes! Styling consultations are encouraged for the best look in your photos.
Will you help us decide what to wear?
All proofs are adjusted for color, contrast, and exposure. All wall and album prints will be fully edited to achieve the Stephanie Berenson Photography signature look. Edits to remove blemishes and soften skin are complimentary and are available upon request. More intricate edits, such as slimming and fixing hair are charged accordingly per image.
are the photos edited?
The sooner the better! I book many months in advance - especially during the spring and fall, so the sooner you book, the more likely you are to get to book your session date! If you are looking to book a last minute session, definitely still inquire to see if we can fit you into the schedule.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE BOOK?
Booking can be completed online through completion of your online booking agreement. Dates are reserved once the session fee retainer payment and portrait agreement are received. Session fees are non-refundable, as your requested date will no longer be open to other bookings. Dates remain open until payment and agreement are received.
how do we book?
Many clients choose to invest between $1000-$5000 in digital files and artwork to preserve their memories after their session. For custom artwork, prices vary depending on the styles you choose. If there's a certain piece of artwork you'd like pricing on, please inquire!
HOW MUCH DO CLIENTS TYPICALLY INVEST?
I completely understand that photography can be a big investment. I do offer payment plans! Please inquire and let me know your situation, and I can work with you to create your own payment plan. Product orders will be placed once you are paid in full.
DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?
For the individual newborn portrait of the session, in-home sessions are 100% baby-led and the individual newborn portraits for in-home sessions are taken on the master bed and in the crib in a lifestyle/documentary fashion. For the full family and parent/baby portions, these portraits are naturally posed on the master bed, rocking chair, and near a window.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT FOR AN IN-HOME NEWBORN SESSION?
I work closely with a few select artists to enhance your portrait experience. Once we book your session and determine a mutually-agreeable date, please let me know if you're interested in professional hair & makeup. If you are interested, I will provide my list of preferred artists for you to book you directly through them.
HOW DOES HAIR & MAKEUP WORK?
The studio is not pet-friendly, but if you'd like to involve your fur-babies in an outdoor or in-home portrait session, I'm more than excited to have them along for the ride!
DO YOU ALLOW PETS?
No worries! Everyone feels a little awkward at the beginning of the session. As the session goes on and I coach you through, you'll find that being photographed will come naturally to you. And don't worry about your kids. We're well versed in capturing even the busiest of little ones.
We're Awkward and my kids don't sit still.
No one wants to look like a wet dog in their photos, so if it looks like it's going to rain, snow, hail or some other weather catastrophe, we'll be in touch via email or phone to reschedule! Rain dates are typically made the week of the session if it looks like inclement weather, and a final decision to reschedule is made within 24 hours of the session so you have time to reschedule hair & makeup and make any other arrangements.
